Tvaandsstickning-A Basic Hat   See class dates below
Twining or 2-end knitting is an old Scandinavian technique called tvaandsstickning in Norwegian where both ends of the yarn are alternately worked. By twisting the yarns, the hat is more wind resistant, softer and very elastic unlike the fair isle technique. Students will learn basic twining in the round in a 1x1 rib stitch and in the knit stitch as they begin a child's or adult sized hat in class. This is an advanced beginner class-must be able to knit and purl before taking this class. Experience working in the round is recommended, but not necessary. $25.00 includes pattern.
Class dates (pick one)   Wed. Feb. 1, 2012  9-11am
                                  Mon. Mar. 19, 2012 6-8pm
