Crochet Cables Cowl

If you can work a double crochet stitch then you can learn how to make crocheted cables! Learn the two stitches that form the basis of crocheted cables and ribbing as we make a bulky cowl. Have fun as you discover variations of basic twisted sts and cable designs.
$25.00 for one two hour class
Skill Level: Should be familiar with how to chain, slip stitch, and double crochet.
Pre-work: Minimal pre-work will be emailed to students a week before class.
Materials: 1 skein Berocco Comfort Chunky, k-10.5/6.5 mm crochet hook, removable stitch markers, pencil or pen

Open yourself up to a world of possibilities by learning how to read and understand crochet patterns. While we work together to make the fabulous Sampler Stitch Cowl, we'll discuss the different parts of a written pattern, abbreviations, and common written notation styles. While this class will focus primarily on US crochet terminology, we will also briefly cover differences you can expect to find in UK style patterns. $45.00 for one three-hour sessions plus $3 for pattern.

Materials: sock yarn 160 yds, H-8/5.0 mm crochet hook, Removable stitch markers, Tapestry needle, Up to 5 buttons (to finish cowl), pencil or pen, highlighter or highlighter tape (optional)

Boho Entrelac Scarf Wednesdays Oct. 7 (10-12)), Oct. 14 (10-12) & Oct. 21(10-11)
Have you been wanting to try Entrelac? You'll get lots of help making the Boho scarf.
This project uses a soft yarn and needles larger than the yarn typically requires to create an eye-catching scarf that is such fun to knit that you will want to make several.
Once you learn the entrelac process, the second step involves adding a simple lace pattern that really jazzes up this scarf. Entrelac and lace--what a wonderful combination for a holiday gift!

Over the course of several meetings, this class will allow you to explore this fun craft at your own pace.

In this Craftsy class taught by our crochet instructor Lindsey Stephens, you'll learn to seam every project cleanly and easily with the best join for the job.
You'll see how to join crochet stitches head to head, side to side, and everything in between — even in pieces with different stitch heights. You'll also expand your toolkit with go-to styles for sturdy seams, seams that mimic your stitch pattern and seams that add a decorative touch to your projects.
Two At A Time Toe Up Socks Mon Oct. 6, Nov. 2, Nov..9, Nov. 30 6-8pm Afraid to start knitting socks due to Second Sock Syndrome(SSS)? Avoid this by learning to knit socks two-at-a-time. That way, when you're done, you're done!!! (An additional advantage to knitting socks from the toe instead of the cuff is that you can try them on to check the fit as you knit.)
Learn Judy's Magic Cast-on, Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off, and, most importantly, how to use the Magic Loop or two circulars to knit your socks as a pair and avoid the dreaded SSS!!!
