 Do you want to learn to crochet or need a refresher?  Have a crochet pattern you've always wanted to make but don't know where to start? Join master crocheter Lindsey Stephens for Crochet Clinic. Lindsey will answer all your crochet related questions to help you start, make progress on, and/or complete the projects you've always dreamed of.  All skill levels welcome.  Please register at least one week in advance of each class.  $25. ea.

Let Dawn, The Stitching Coach guide you through challenging techniques such as texture, lace, cables, slipped stitches and colorwork. Join your fellow knitters for tips, tricks and company, and remember to pick up your supplies at New England Yarn.

Build confidence and skills to fix mistakes without starting over from scratch. Bad things happen to good knitters and we all make mistakes. Learn how to recognize and fix them with Dawn, The Stitching Coach. In this hands -on class, you will learn how to fix dropped, twisted, slipped and split stitches, change knits to purls (vice versa), repair holes and the difference between Tinking and Frogging (ways to unknit your knitting). Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.
Pre-class homework:

1. With US 8 (5mm) and worsted-weight yarn, knit a 4" square stockinette swatch and bind off.
2. Cast on a second swatch, knit 2” and stop with live stitches on the needle.

Take both classes for $50. and learn two useful sock techniques.

Get into the spirit of the season with a tiny sock ornament for your Christmas tree, gift card holder or make a bunch for a cute garland that can hang all year long.

In the first session you will learn:

how to change color for the cuff/toe and traditional heel flap and gusset.

In session two you will learn:

 how to knit a colorwork sock with an after thought heel that doesn’t interrupt your pattern.

 Both options are just like an adult sock, only smaller. You must know how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Bring your basic knit kit (stitch markers, scissors, darning needle, etc.). No previous sock experience required.

Supplies:

Option 1 (ornament size):

US1 circular or dpns and 26 yards fingering weight yarn (one or two colors)

Option 2 (gift card size):

US6 circular or dpns and 50 yards of DK weight yarn
